About Us
LuMi cosmetics is a business founded by us, two young black sisters, Lulu and Mimi.
The name of the business was derived from our names.
I, Mimi am currently studying medicine and has a keen interest in dermatology, specializing in hair, skin, and nails. We have always enjoyed creating our own homemade skincare and haircare products, which led us to start our own cosmetics brand. We aim to provide black women with a wider range of shades and colors, as we have noticed that it can be difficult for them to find the perfect match in makeup stores.
I, Lulu am studying psychology and has a passion for makeup. We both believe that our brand can contribute to the industry by providing more options for darker toned women.

We share a close bond. This comes as no surprise why everyone thinks we are twins! Our beauty philosophy is deeply rooted from when we were toddlers. We remember using our mom’s makeup and cat walking around the house. We wanted to wear makeup to high school, but mom refused, which made us sneak makeup and wear it in school. Then we would wipe it off when it was time to go home. Our mom eventually saw the light and allowed us wear makeup to school, which was the beginning of greater opportunities for us to explore and became creative and innovative with cosmetics.
Mimi
This has evolved to starting our own brand with a bang, and birthing LuMi Cosmetics. Being young and vibrant entrepreneurs, we have turned our passion into a business! We are so proud of what we have done. As we are a brand-new business, launched recently on August 27, 2022, we are already make waves across Cities, Nationally and Globally!
We are currently working on a unique and top-notch app/technology, that can enable a virtual client to try our products, even without physically having the item.
